FAQs

What is The IntelyHeart Foundation?

The IntelyHeart Foundation is a charitable, not-for-profit organization established by IntelyCare to provide short-term financial assistance through need-based grants to healthcare professionals. Assistance can be used for one-time unanticipated expenses, monthly living expenses, or to pursue professional education.

How do you get a grant?

Applications are available by going to intelyheartfoundation.org and can be completed online. To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet established criteria. Not all applicants will receive a grant.

Do I have to apply every quarter?

Because financial needs change, an application must be submitted in each quarter in which you wish to receive a grant.

What information do I have to provide?

The application will ask for the reason you are seeking to receive a grant and will also collect certain information to establish financial need. Additional supporting information may be requested.

Can I apply multiple times?

You may submit one application per quarter.

However, once you have received a grant, you may not be eligible to receive another grant for a period of time.

What are the criteria to be considered?

In order to be considered, you must be an active RN, LPN, CNA or equivalent, based in the United States. Applications must be complete and supporting information, when requested, must be supplied.

How are you allocating the relief fund money?

The applications will be reviewed by a team of employees to determine the financial need and circumstances of the applicant. If necessary, you may be contacted to provide additional information. The applications will then be presented to The IntelyHeart Foundation Board of Directors for final approval of the recommended grants. Not all applications will receive a grant.

How much money is available for grants?

The size of the pool is flexible each quarter. IntelyCare intends to fund grants to those who need short-term financial assistance to help cover rent, mortgage payments, medical expenses, tuition, or other living expenses. We expect to supplement those funds by soliciting third party contributions.

How big will the grants be?

There is no specified grant amount. Each application will be viewed individually to determine an appropriate grant level.

Does the Recipient have to pay taxes on the grant?

As a 501(c)(3) public charity, the IntelyHeart Foundation is set up to provide need-based financial assistance. Taxes will not be withheld from grants. IntelyCare and the IntelyHeart Foundation recommend that grant recipients consult their own tax advisors concerning whether a grant award is subject to federal or state income tax.
